When it comes to influence and remittance, those 85K are worth more than millions or even possibly a billion of India. One of them could become CEO or at least svp of a fortune 500 tech company which would have more impact than a million back in India. Keep in mind almost 70% of India is lower caste.
One thing China should be grateful for is due to Indian takeover of major American tech companies, they have stagnated and weaked to a point China feels comfortable and confident that its own tech now has a realistic chance of competing. A decade ago this was sort of unthinkable.
India is truly a double edged sword. But maybe it's better as an enemy rather than ally.
I do have to point out that white run companies in the US aren't doing much better. Example: Intel.
Even though Intel doesn't have an Indian CEO, it actually has loads of Indians in positions of power. For example there are two svps and both are in the tech part which is probably the most important.
Some Korean American was already suing Intel all the way back in 2019 for having huge Indian bias and discriminating against him.
So even companies that don't have Indian CEOs have been Indianized so much. And that was years ago compared to now. Imagine the state of Microsoft or Google now. I don't even use Google image search (now called lens) and have to rely on Yandex.
It's actually amazing how deep this rabbit hole goes just on basic searching. I feel like it might be too late for the US to reverse this without some massive disruption.
I've heard it's not so much indians hiring indians.
That's the first level.
When they actually interview fellow indians, they go through the checklist.
If you're the right caste, instant offer.
If you're from the same region as the interviewers, you'll get the offer too. Gujartis hiring Gujartis.
If you fail both checks, chances are they'll rather hire a Chinese than a fellow Indian.
Good thing Gurjarat only has 60 million people lol.

When the U.S. House Armed Services Committee visited China, the Fujian aircraft carrier’s catapult system was officially announced.
I strongly support China–U.S. relation and sincerely hope such visits will become more frequent.

Intel's workforce is not very white.
Like in the technological revolutions before, this is what happens when companies aren't allowed to able to leverage cheaper labor for efficiency. They have to get better margins via innovation.
You can be 100X developer but if you are over the age of 35 it is pretty tough getting a job as SW dev.
