Bydance should keep the brand name "TikTok" for markets outside US and China. The US entity should be called whatever (powered by Tiktok) or whatever (TikTok inside) like Intel inside.

I mean the US is already heading towards to civil war either way because of how polorized it is, but it seems Trump made it even closer than ever before because he blue balled his supporters on the Jeffery epstein case while also launching a take over of the US government to antagonize the blue states to take action.
Besides the world being cutoff from American influencers, I can think of another more important development and I obviously am not implying the CPC and Bytedance are playing 4d chess with this, but this scenario has a potential to work out really well in their favor.
Trump has always been hesitant to ban TikTok. It was never because he wanted to normalize relations with China or sought to use TikTok as some kind of brilliant golden fishhook to entice concessions from China, he simply saw the platform's propaganda value since those like the late Charlie Kirk and Germany's AFD were far more effective than the Left at using it to reach younger voters.
A spinoff TikTok USA would in a way alleviate America's base concerns at Chinese access to US data. But Trump brings in an additional angle to the potential development of TikTok USA and that is of course ensuring MAGA has another right wing propaganda platform at its disposal, exactly the same fate that befell X after Elon Musk took it over. In a sense, not only will American TikTok users be cutoff from global content, they'll find yet another global staple of the international social media ecosystem turned into an echo chamber of hate. For Trump, it plays perfectly into his plans to cement MAGA's ideaology amongst the American populace. Globally however? The world will only continue watching as America's societal rifts and radicalization deepens, and what was once the world's policeman lurches closer and closer towards civil war.
