This week's registration data. Xiaomi is really ramping things up. I think they are going to hit 40k this month. Tesla is actually making a comeback. I wonder if they are drastically cutting prices recently. Aside from that, we are seeing S800 actually surpass S9 is deliveries. U7 is also doing pretty well. So it seems like loyal Huawei rich customers are just going with the higher end sedan. Although S9T just got launched and Z9 probably will get a 2026 refresh soon, so we might see their sales pick up from the current level of about 1000 a month.

Tai-7 that launched last week has been really successful so far.

Wow, Geely is really eating into BYD market share with their price war strategy. If this continues in the long term then BYD might lose their number 1 crown. Shows how competitive the market is, and that we can never take things for granted.
Chery Fulwin is also cutting into the plug-in hybird market of BYD. The new Fulwin A9L has 260km of EV range (compared to the BYD seal 07 DM which is similarly priced but only 70/135km EV range), very long EV range for a budget PHEV.

Xiaomi delivered 135,000+ units in their first year, at this rate Xiaomi can deliver 400,000 in their second year, very fast growth for a new player.

don't over state plug in hybrid market. That's a continuously shrinking market.

Outside of Geely, Leapmotor has been quite the market share eater. Same with the low cost Wuling vehicles.

As it turns out, mass market segments of all consumer vehicles are going to be 3-horse races: BYD, Chery and Geely, which cover RMB 100K ~ 200K ranges. 200K ~ 300K ranges are going to be most chaotic, with all usual suspects including Nio, Xpeng, Li Auto, Tesla, BYD, Geely, Chery, etc. 300K+ is going to be HIMA and BBA plus other wannabes. All yesterday's giants like SAIC, GAIC, FAW, DF, Changan are on life support. The most interesting drama would be, given CeeCeePee orders, who would actually be consolidated into whom? No local government wants their pet projects to go under outright - this is the capitalism with Chinese characteristics.

You are forgetting about Xiaomi. I think Xiaomi is showing enormous capability in terms of design, cost and marketing ability. They are creating very appealing cars that everyone aspire to buy at a much more low price. I feel Xiaomi has the potential to beat everyone overtime, as they buildup more production capacity and come up with more car designs to cover all the car categories.

My bet is on Xiaomi to beat BYD and everyone else long term.
