Yes, but the phrasing is that it's "merely" for marketing and export, which means that they don't think the FH-97/A is for the PLA.
It's a character flaw, an undeveloped inner self. Pride is hurt. Negative will cope. Positive won't.
So of the two smaller CCAs, it looks like the the one similar to the FH-97 is more optimized for range and payload. They likely act as munitions expanders in still hostile but more permissive environments, and is likely geared more toward strike missions or cruise missile/drone defense as they probably don't have the stealth and speed needed to be in formation with 5th or 6th gen fighters. In a peer confrontation they would need other assets to degrade enemy anti-air defenses for strike missions.
The other one seems to be more optimized for speed and stealth, with a much higher swept wing, stealthy nozzles, and a much flatter planform. It should carry little to no dispensable payload, maybe at most a few decoys. Its role is probably to act as sensor expanders and/or communications relay nodes in formation with 5th and 6th gen fighters.
