Are you sure? Because externally other than a few extra satcom antennas and maybe a new MRS, I don't think there is any significant modification otherwise. Not even moving the headlamps to the tracks and covering that bit up with ERA. Major changes that was expected like APS and RWS are all not present.
I always thought the PLA was rather conservative with naming and usually assign a new designation only if there is some significant modification.

They just wrapped it up. They were streaming on Xiyazhou's bilibili channel.

what if the change/upgrade is not visible exterior? like different armour material, different powerpack etc.
