If the Chinese were financing this reported deal, there would be little need to employ Pakistani manufacturing capacity.
While I wouldn't rule out Beijing as the source of the capital, it's more likely that the $1.5 billion in question is coming from one of the GCC monarchies.

While UAE is funding the RSF (who the military is fighting), RSF is one thats looting (gold mines) and killing people.
These Villagers are saying that their unit in their village got close to the border, they were ordered to pull back because of shelling, during the retreat/pullback one of the Military tanks was destroyed, this happened at night time. out of 5, 4 survived are in hospital.

Either that or drone? idk what else could have hit it since the villager says that it was dark and it hit the back of the tank, while they were retreating from heavy arty shelling.
It's certainly plausible that Qatar is playing bank here, but the other plausible source of the $1.5 billion USD is Saudi Arabia, especially given the lengthy and extensive history of defense cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh.
Granted, Sudan has never been my area of focus or interest, so happy to defer to more informed minds.
Regardless, it's a bit surreal to see the the , and the Emiratis on the other, when the entire GCC was "ganging up" on Qatar not so long ago.
TBF, the situation in Sudan is transforming into a proxy war, assuming it hasn't reached that threshold already: ~40 Colombian mercenaries, presumably fighting for the RSF, less than two weeks ago on an Emirati bird over Sudan. One can only assume the deceased were on the Emirates' payroll too.
The UAE has been operating Wing Loong 2 UAVs in support of the RSF, so we may soon see Chinese made HQ-9 SAMs — sourced from Pakistani stocks — shooting down Chinese made MALE UAVs!
