Tsinghua University's Qbeam S350 and S600 received the first major technical equipment product certification.
It is reported that the electron beam selective melting (EBSM®) equipment Qbeam S350 and Qbeam S600 independently developed by Tsinghua Zhishu have been successfully included in the "Beijing 2024 Third Batch of First (Set) Major Technical Equipment Catalogue", marking that the company's technical strength and innovation capabilities in the field of electron beam additive manufacturing have been authoritatively recognized again.
he Qbeam S350 uses the independently developed EG3.1 version electron gun and a single-crystal cathode, resulting in excellent beam spot quality and a long cathode life (≥800h). Combined with the independently developed electron beam calibration technology, the minimum beam spot diameter is as low as 180μm, enabling efficient and high-precision forming of 350×350×500mm³ dimensions. It supports the printing of a variety of high-performance metal materials, including titanium alloys and high-strength titanium alloys.

he Qbeam S600 leverages revolutionary multi-electron gun splicing control technology to successfully integrate four 6kW high-energy electron guns, overcoming the challenges of multi-gun/beam interference and complex splicing techniques. This enables a 600×600×700mm³ build volume, meeting the urgent need for efficient printing of large-scale parts. This innovation significantly improves production efficiency and cost-effectiveness while ensuring superior performance and broad applicability of the finished product.
