What can India offer to Philippines apart from more weapons exports? Of all the useless partners for the PH, India is at the bottom of that list.

After the talks, Modi said India and the Philippines were “committed to peace, security, prosperity and a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region.”

Marcos said the strategic partnership “will doubtless resonate beyond the confines of our bilateral relationship.”

“We want to work with you for a free and open Indo-Pacific,” he told Modi.
Lol! Same old words. Bong Bong should remember that Iran had also signed a strategic partnership with India shortly before Israel attacked Iran. India had refused to help Iran, not even offering condemnation to Israel. This is the true value of India's "strategic partnership".

It should be noted that the PH bought the Brahmos missile at the end of the Duterte administration. Probably it was the PH military that pushed it more than Duterte. So now that Bong Bong Marcos has established a "strategic partnership" with Modi, he must buy more Indian Supapowar weaponry. Marcos should consider buying the Tejas over outdated F-16s.

Unfortunately for India, Daddy Trump ain't going to permit the export of F404 powered Tejas airframes to the Philippines or any other country :(, or even further exports of the F404 to HAL at the rate things are going:

TBF, such IN deployments are of questionable, if not negligible value: even an Indian CVBG is unlikely to survive longer than an hour, if not <30 mins in the SCS against a volley or two from the PLARF.

However, the Indian government has a habit of misprioritizing optics over substance. To facilitate such political theater, the Indian authorities have arranged for the Philippines to welcome and service IN ships and sailors that'll be deployed — for stroking the egos of nationalistic audiences back home by way of chest beating while seafaring — in the SCS.

From the perspective of Baby Bongbong: he and his cronies are almost assuredly looking to play the role of the
