AFAICT, these are the unequal treaties the ROK and the EU have tentatively agreed to:
  • ROK: For the privilege of getting "just" 15% tariffs, Seoul will invest $350 billion in the U.S. and buy $100 billion of energy from Washington
  • EU: For the privilege of getting "just" 15% tariffs, EU countries will invest $600 billion in the U.S. and buy $750 billion of energy from Washington
It will presumably stall South Korea's industrial expansion and accelerate Europe's industrial decline. A trade war assuredly would have done the same, but at least the U.S. would also have taken a hit, whereas under the current scheme it stands to benefit.

I am reminded of this scene from a great movie:

Indians are having a bad day:
25% tariffs, sanctioned 7 indian oil companies that do business with Iran.
used Pakistan to say 'massive oil reserves which they will sell to india maybe'
And then went onto say 'Dead economy'
In a certain Indian forum, there is total meltdown over their failed diplomacy. They admit that US was a bad bet

Thing is, they don't know what to do now. They have completely alienated China.
Russia can't do anything, they are fully occupied with Ukraine, and even if it wanted to do something it's relationship with China is far more important.

Their favourite France, can't do anything as it is now demonstrated to everyone that France and the rest of the EU have big daddy Trump and they follow his orders

UNSC is going to be really fun if someone suddenly tables a resolution on water treaty of India-Pakistan...

India getting deserving slap from both China and US. Too much hyper nationalism and chest thumping led to this level of failure. The final nail in the coffin will be India provoking China to such an extent that China finally uses its full force on India and humiliates them once and for all. No more fighting with sticks.

Indians all over social media, all over internet are having a meltdown right now (Stockmarket crash too)
They are pissed especially because Trump called them 'dead economy' meanwhile doing business with Pakistan(who indians consider as dead economy).
Keep in mind, Indian bhakhts WORSHIPPED trump

Meanwhile Pakistanis are like 'Wait we have oil..??'
Or going 'can we get F16 block 70s now'
I am like HEAR ME OUT.
Get F35's from US , J35's from China.
Combine them into same squadrons and call them
JF-70s :D

Pakistani delegation that finalized the deal in washington yesterday also talked about Kashmir and Indus water situation too.

in general the announced numbers are completely fantastical.

India getting smacked by all sides is because they tried to use all sides without being loyal to one side. China should not give India an escape route by falling for the typical Indian ‘friendship’ trick. Now that the US has gotten sick of India they grovel back to wanting friendly relations with China. India is a snake. Never trust snakes.
