Love the new blue and orange colour scheme of the launch tower. If Lego ever decides to build a full size rocket launch tower, I’m sure that’s the colour scheme they would choose…

Let's hope i-Space (also known as Space Honor, Interstellar Glory, StarCraft Glory, Star Glory, Interstellar Glory Space Technology, Interplanetary Glory, Interplanetary Glory Space Technology, Interstellar Glory Aerospace Technology Group, Interstellar Space Technology Corporation Ltd, etc.) will not celebrate this hard fought success by adding yet another name for itself.

These different English names are identical in Chinese, i.e. 星际荣耀.

This is the 586th launch total for the Long March series, and the 41st on the year for China as a whole. The payload was the SatNet Low-Orbit Group 06 A-I, carrying 9 broadband-internet satellites for the planned 13,000 satellite constellation.

Some notable info, some of which has been discussed prior:

This is the first launch from the new commercial pad, prior launches were done on the state pad right next door basically. This is also a version with a larger universal upper stage and fairing compared to the Long March 8, the standard variation. This improves the ability to launch 7 t to 700 km SSO / 9.8 t to LEO.

6th Batch launched now.

so back to back two set of satellites being launched in span of 4 days. as i told earlier process has been accelerated.

as per chief designer, 400 satellites will be in orbit by 2027.
However, Qianfan is more than 7 months behind its own plan, and Guowang.. is unknown by how much. Let's hope that they really speed up.

Qianfan undergoing some changes related technology.. it will resume soon.

Guowang clearly accelerate this year.. LM8/LM6 rockets will deploy initial satellites. then LandSpace will join the race. one more private player gearing up for this constellation. chief designer thinking about 400 satellites by 2027. if Zhuque-3 comes on time then you will see more satellites being deploy in next 2-3 years.

Could it be because of the production rate is below expectation instead of changing of technology of the satellite design?

Qianfan is more than 7 months behind its own plan
What was its plan? I assume you are talking about planned launch by the end of 2025? According to this report in January 2025,

, the production rate is supposed to be 300 per year in 2025. So the plan for 2025 can not exceed 300.

Only 36 (18 in Oct 2024 and 18 in Mar 2025) out of the launched 90 was produced by the factory, the rest are still produced by the R&D institute. The gap of factory batches is about 5 months, roughly 86 per year. That seems to be a production ramp up issue. It is hard to believe that it takes 5 batches in 5 months operation to find out a design issue.
