It seems most people agree with this being a new ISR platform but consensus on what type has not been reached, some people think it might be some kind of hypersonic/sub orbital aircraft with international customers refering to close US allies being able to buy/recieve intel collected by this platform while others think it'll likely be a ultra long endurance ISR replacement for the RQ-180 similar to the WZ-X in Malan.
Hypersonic would very exotic and I think the most “fun” outcome to speculate about. I think it will likely be something more “mundane” though, and if it is a true black project it won’t likely see the light of day for decades.

I don't know how else to describe this footage other than insane! The footage in the YouTube link below is a review of a US DoD program to build a nuclear / conventional powered turbofan in partnership with GE from 1956 through 1958 (!!!). The production quality of the footage is astounding, as is the many miniatures and hand drawn graphics they use to represent the engines under design. They also have full scale mock-ups of the GE XMA-2 engine which would have produced 35,000+ lbs of thrust with its hybrid conventional / nuclear power system.

The X-37B wrapped up its final mission, incl a highly elliptical orbit that extends above the GEO belt and an orbit changing aerobreaking maneuver. Space Force won't be buying more flights. I had a hunch they were planning to retire this thing given how public they were with it.

Turns out they will be launching more. The X-37B OTV-8 is coming up August 21st, on a Falcon 9 from KSC designated USSF-36. Onboard are demos for laser communications between proliferated satellite networks and the highest performing strategic grade quantum inertial sensor ever tested in space.

from which it was excerpted, Seth Harp, Esq. can at times get a little too cynical about the volume of organized crime prevailing through the branches of the DoD.

Unsurprisingly, Seth was a criminal prosecutor in Texas prior to turning to investigative journalism.

OTOH, broadly speaking, Seth is not "making shit up:" there is indeed a not insignificant amount of criminality within the ranks of the US military, even if it is generally speaking more petty and opportunistic than organized or conspiratorial. However, who wants to read about sketchy NCOs

?!

TBF, the US military is a reflection of broader American society: just as crime is unavoidably abundant in any American municipality of over a hundred thousand souls — let alone a city of a million — it's only natural that crime, including of the organized variety, would be found within

While some of you may find it easy — or easier than usual — to dismiss the US military wholesale after reading his new book or even just this excerpt, I encourage y'all to receive Seth's writing as a study into a lesser known, yet fascinating, if not inevitable facet of military society.

Much of the crimes are just planned crime exports to control Mexico better. Heck Trump himself is already negotiating with Cartels for that cause, can you believe it. The only problem with this way of acting is that crime unavoidably spills back into the US, just like the neoliberalism brain rot which is caused by the back spilling of decades of western propaganda.
