People ask why isn't China doing more to be anti US or anti west. They don't get it. A country like China which has lasted thousands of years while its historic enemies are all gone, shouldn't be defined by getting even with the west only (esp when the west is a recent thing) .Rather it should aim to be great and if the west gets in its way, then the west will be wiped out.

Notice how the outcome is the same but the goal, approach and mentality is completely different. Having a chip on your shoulder makes you act like Russia or even India which has weak foundations and won't last long.

I feel china needs to try and mediate as soon as possible. Who knows whether the US will try to plant news articles on the social media platforms they control to say that china support Cambodia to the Thais and china support Thailand to the Cambodians. Trying to put china in a lose lose situation.

+1. Examples are great. Russia was strong when it had ambitions to lead the world as the USSR. It wasn't motivated by revenge on the west or the Nazis. What's the point? They already crushed the Nazis under their boot. That's the winner mentality. In contrast, after USSR fell, the Russian Federation got caught up with the whole revenge and comeback stuff and that's when they started stagnating.

India is even more fully reactive to China rather than having the ambition to improve themselves.

Seems some taipei officials are doubling down on the incident that happened in Germany on the university games(?)

There was incident allegedly where CN mainland media were blocked from covering CTaipei athletes by CTaipei media while allegedly, the C Taipei minister of education allegedly violated the Olympic Rules by presenting an award/certificate on stage with "Rep. Of Ch1na" (in Chinese) on it(?)
