Came to think of it, J-35 is just J-20 but shorter and no canards lol.
Gonna call it 'J-20 Lite' from now on, better than calling it 'Temu F-22' or whatever crap people on Reddit are saying.
Naval J-35 is still carrying old style luneburg lens instead of the new one that is retractable.
Yes, but I think that's due to the fact that both are prototypes and most likely were built before the first J-35As were made.
That’s my understanding as well. In fact there is speculation that the naval formation of J-35/J-15 represent the test and development squadron on Fujian. It is not that the serial planes don’t exist, but they are not integrated yet.
It's noteworthy how the J-35 has a spine like the J-20A, and quite unlike the baseline J-20.
