2025 Israel - Iranian conflict

Everything is pointing towards US involvements. It will just be airstrikes and limited ground raids.

But, but there's a small chance if Iran hits US bases and causes casualties, US involvement will include regime change and much more involvement.

The mess from this is going to be ugly. I don't think Trump realizes the broad consequences from this. It might set US back decades if it doesn't pan out the way he hopes.

Watch for Pakistan in all this. Their Army chief visited Trump today.

There's a small chance they might let US use their airspace to strike Iran.

Most of the Arab world--although condemn the attacks--allows NATO assets to assemble in their country in preparation for strikes in Iran.
I'm a little doubtful they need access to Pakistani airspace. If you look at the geography of the region, going through Pakistan doesn't benefit the US at all.

They didn't try to improve their Air Force and even their AD. Their Air Force should have taken a higher priority and they could easily taken Egyptian Su-35s sitting in Russia that were never delivered to Egypt. They could have exchanged them for the one-way drones tech they gave to Russia. All this could have been done despite the sanctions.
I think F-35 would be difficult to defeat for any 4th gen jet without good AWACS and ground radar. But having the ability to shoot down UK and US refueling tankers would have diminished Israeli attack capabilities significantly. I'm more surprised about the lack of MANPADS to take down Israeli drones and other slow moving air assets.

My mistake. I edited that comment because like you said, on the map, US doesn't need Pakistan for this. It would make things easier if they had access to their airspace and bases. But they really can do everything without them.

Fingers crossed that the small chance pans out. A 20 year quagmire would be fantastic.
