Besides bluffing, what are other reasons for both sides not (especially Iran) not showing the supposed opposing forces fatalities in the times of conflict?

Seems like this war is mostly about theatrics. Israel wants to project an image of power for deterrence. Iran is still hoping to cut a deal with the US. Both are fighting with those goals in mind.

I hope the latest meager salvo means they're preserving ammo, but there is a good chance Iran's missile force is being suppressed.

Worst case scenario, since Israel has air superiority they can keep up constant surveillance over Iran's missile launch sites and suppress them. Maybe Iran's TELs cannot just drive to a random location and shoot, they need pre-measured launch sites to guarantee accuracy

Israel only has ~100 F-15s and F-35s with the range to even reach Iran, including with refueling over Syria and Iraq. Their F-16s are unlikely to be participating due to low range. And that doesn't mean 100 planes are in the air simultaneously due to maintenance and ferry time, there might be like ~1/4 actually patrolling in western Iran at any one time. That's an area the size of the entire Ukraine.

In Desert Storm, the US was able to keep up its surveillance by a combination of having bases right in Saudi Arabia over the border, and diplomatic trickery to convince the Iraqis to withdraw from entrenched positions in Kuwait instead of fighting a brutal urban grinder - and that got them the Highway of Death.

It is surprisingly hard to uproot entrenched forces even with glide bombs raining on their heads - just ask the Russians. And the Israelis seem to mostly use standoff missiles and saboteurs. Wonder why - if they really 100% suppressed Iranian air defense why standoff range right?

Aside from obvious infiltration because of traitors I speculate use of cyberwarfare to gain intelligence about their whereabouts

Israel is insanely good when it comes to this
For example an alleged scandal that occurred in 2018 involving use of Israeli spyware

Jeff Bezos’s phone was allegedly hacked using Israeli NSO Group spyware via Saudi Crown Prince MBS. The hack exposed his affair with Lauren Sánchez, later leaked to the National Enquirer — possibly as retaliation for The Washington Post’s critical coverage of Saudi Arabia.

About distance, I'm half certain Israel obtained airfields in Syria. Notice how Israel has never been able to use their air force effectively against Iran due to the distance. This was true even back in True Promise 1, yet after Syria fell now Israel all of a sudden can bring the the full might of their airforce to bear?

You have a point otherwise, but still the meager salvo count does not inspire hope

Edit: Also they don't have to surveil all of Iran, they only need to surveil known launch sites, which they may have intel given their infiltration in all levels of Iranian security apparatus
