Seems there was some interesting news regarding the JF-17. Apparently one was shot down in Myanmar and what is even more interesting is the weapon with which it was shot down.



So, it seems after Chinese fighters and air-to-air missiles have become battle tested, Chinese MANPADS is now battle tested by shooting down a Chinese made fighter. An interestingly ironic situation.

EDIT: IGNORE, NOT ACCURATE.

So apparently this FN-6 launcher is meant for low flying targets.

I think this speaks more about the Myanmar Air Force than the JF-17 tbh. I swear, they keep flying these planes close and get shot down.

Last year's jet kill of the FN-6 was on the FTC-2000 as well.

Push comes to shove, the US will never in a million years trade LA or DC or NY or anywhere in CONUS (maybe Alaska or Hawaii, if they had a choice) on behalf of “revenge” for Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka getting glassed. Even of it means a severe reduction in global prestige and reputation. The Japanese are their pets, nothing more.
