The laws of physics also haven't changed since the Qin dynasty. Some things are the way they are because that's just the way they areNo but I'm disappointed that political theory and governance has basically not changed since the Qin dynasty.
They really are their own worst enemy
I don't think China is a great power. They do nothing to prove they are. A great power acts with impunity, without hesitation, and without any regard for any law. China won't even dare take Taiwan that's like less than 200km away and is legally theirs. No great power allows itself to be surrounded on it's own border while spinning the "Do nothing and win air bender waiting around Sun Tzu focused chi" vinyl. We are being told to believe the US will just pack their bags and go home by themselves. It is a ridiculous construct.China should start acting like a world power and stop letting the rest of the shit on it whenever it can. China is barely an actor in global geopolitics right now; they have no allies or even do anything. Turkey and the west have been funding Uyghur separatists and China just did nothing, they been blasting anti-China propaganda around the globe and China did nothing, they been attacking Palestine for years now and China did nothing, China doesn't do anti-terrorism around the globe which even much smaller countries do, hell China didn't even do anything to stop the civil war in Myanmar in China's own back yard. China should take responsibility as a great power and do more stuff to help the world, not as a hegemon but a rational power.
If there were secret Chinese help, there'd at least be some rumours or accusations from the west. Even if there's something super secret, you can see why ordinary Iranians who don't know about secret help, wouldn't be that enthusiastic about China. If China doesn't want allies that's fine. Just don't pretend it's the other guy's fault. And don't be surprised when the time for war comes, the rest of the world will sit back and watch Chinese and Americans kill each other on TVYeah and we know this because China never publicly said it's secretly providing Iran with intel. I mean where do you think Iran gets the advanced guidance systems and materials used in their missiles and drones? Their famous domestic electronics industry? lol
China truly doesn't want a regional conflict, but if you think China's naive you clearly haven't been watching daily videos of Chinese drones killing people in Ukraine.
China is not an expansionist power.I don't think China is a great power. They do nothing to prove they are. A great power acts with impunity, without hesitation, and without any regard for any law. China won't even dare take Taiwan that's like less than 200km away and is legally theirs. Just remembered, 1sr4el opened an embassy in bhutan in 2020.China also still requires visas for Israelis. Israel doesn't even get the 240 hour visa-free transit that almost all other high or mid-high income countries have. Israel is by far the highest GDP per capita country that doesn't qualify for China's visa waiver or 240 hour visa-free transit program.
LMAO how do you think the government coffers of Iran have been filled till now despite the oil sanctions? Who is helping to facilitate the sanctions evasion of Iranian oil to the Internaional market? How does Iran maintain a semblance of a civilian economy till now and be able to develop their own weapons which they still prefer to buy from Russian most of the time anyways? Why not ask the Russians where the SU-35s went first? The problem for China in Iran is that China has supported and enabled western sanctions against Iran and always has big promises of investment but then nothing materialises. Worse, China refuses to sell advanced weapons. Iran used to be a big customer of the Chinese defence industry but no more.
Obviously people in Iran know that the US is fighting against them, but China was supposed to be on the same anti western team but instead is joining them against Iran. This feeling of betrayal by China is much worse than just being hated by the west.
Look at how China is removing visa requirements for dozens of countries but still requires them for Iran. It's not as if Iranians are likely to overstay their visa in China. The reality is that China has bought the American anti Iran story that Iran is a fully religious government and China just isn't that friendly to Iran. You can't expect Iran to love China even as China insults Iran
Exactly the biggest enemy of the US is the US itself. The country infrastructure is literally crumbling in from of their eyes and they prefer their money in empire building than at home. One of the reasons because the share of US manufacturing compared to other sectors collapse is because that lack of federal investment. A lot of manufacturing powers like Germany and Japan have managed to keep their share of manufacturing relative higher because they invest at home.China is not an expansionist power.
China -- rightfully -- uses its resources on Chinese people. Overseas adventures generally do not benefit most of the population.
How is China not winning right now compared to the United States? How could spending trillions of yuan in foreign lands possibly increase the size of China's economy and the wealth of Chinese people more, versus spending that amount in China on China's domestic development?
Sounds like the typical murican talking point. Trying to goad China into abandoning what's working for them so far to score some cheap ego points.I don't think China is a great power. They do nothing to prove they are. A great power acts with impunity, without hesitation, and without any regard for any law.
