2025 Israel - Iranian conflict

I’m hoping for Iran’s sake that this is just surface damage and they still have most of their capabilities intact, within reinforced shelters or underground. And they likely do. Just like when Ukraine hits huge ammo depots in Russia, yet has little to no effect on the front, as most of their exposed stuff is just what they either have an excess of, or were about to actively use at the time, I assume the same applies to Iran.
I mean I think Israel knows they dont have the capabilities to effectively take out Iran’s nuclear program, that would only be possible in concert with the US. They can deal damage to the known (and unknown) nuclear sites, they can kill scientists, but ultimately this is just delaying the program, not destroying it. The real goal, I suspect, is to deal enough damage to Iran and humiliate them in such a manner that they HAVE to respond in a massive fashion, possibly targeting US assets and dragging them in as a result. Thats the end goal the Israelis are banking on. I dont think this was a decapitation strike so much as it was a ploy to hopefully bring the US into the conflict. And yeah, it reeks of desperation on Netanyahu’s part, but I dont see the US just idly standing by if Iran decides to strike back. Hezbollah is beaten, Assad is gone, Hamas has been pulverized, and the Houthis are a minor threat at best. That leaves just the head of the serpent, and both Israel and Iran know it. And Netanyahu seems to be have decided now is the time to go for the kill. We’ll see how Iran decides to respond but if they decide to go after US bases I dont see good things happening.

This better be a real response, and not the type of crap they pulled last time. They need to attack and keep attacking. No stopping. They need to hit back hard or Israel will not back off. They already smell blood and fear.
It's still unconfirmed. Jets scrambling doesn't necessarily mean launching retaliating strikes. It could be just to keep from being destroyed on the ground.

Problem is, Netanyahu, much like Zelensky, cares only about his own vision and doesn’t care about the repercussions or massive problems he causes to those around him.

The US knows that if they go in, Russia and China will be waiting eagerly to assist the Iranians, especially Russia, who is currently drooling at the the thought of getting back at America for everything it’s done. And now they’re hesitant.

For Russia, It would be the perfect trap for the US to get dragged into a major war by BiBi. And the US is probably real nervous about their next move. Which might explain why Trump and co. are trying their hardest to appear neutral and ignorant about Israel’s plan.

Iran should have built the bomb years ago quietly instead of issuing big threats. Their crazy fanatic leadership just wasted 30 years of their country for literally nothing. One needs to be humble and continue to work hard for improvement. Even I as a civilian could see something was coming (US moving their staff, threat warnings etc) and they couldn't put their top leadership in secure locations?
Not sure how much it would have done. The whole country is completely compromised by Mossad. I think given all the assassinations Israel has conducted we’ve gotten used to it but they used to be assassinating top IRGC and nuclear program guys every other month or so in the early 2010s and 2020. That’s not to mention the lower level officers. Another thing of note is that the Iranian AD seems to be nonexistent? I dont know if they’re just not effective or if Israel already took them out but it really just looks like Iran is a sitting duck.

Looking at the map again , I just realized most countries surrounding Iran are useless. Not to mention they are all so divisive with their own agenda. No wonder Israel can do whatever they want
I wonder for how much longer, the media certainly loves to portray Israel is being invincible but I do wonder, the USA has always portrayed Ukraine as a nation that can defeat Russia and then we see now how screwed they are, but now things have escalated to this point, will Israel in the coming days still be invincible or will something finally give
