India is going to have to do a lot of major rethinking about the broader implications of what happened before they go on some sort of spending spree.
Wont be surprised if they gonna go straight for the su57 and not for more doctrinal changes if its going to be yet another political based decision. Airforces usually (from what I know) have a higher skill entry barrier than lets say army so some more competency should be there
And not like this guy, Army Colonel india and he posted this today, they are fighting grok now

Hi,
I feel like now here and there someone general or politician accepting downing
of their IAF jets, why do I feel like Indians make France to let go beyond one Rafale
and replace the other one or two or three with under the table of replenishing the
lost jets without bringing it in main media or discussing in open public
Rest of the jets are history no one keep an eye on their count as mig are too old and
SU they have in numbers over 200 or so
thank you

Hi,
hopefully this time the Indian government will do something for their AMCA
development in line with either buying Su57 or F35 at least get engines and
extra components for their AMCA
by the way we all propose IAF for F35 but what will happen with S400 will USA
leave india to use it with USA technology
thank you

I believe it's the body of a deceased soldier rather than a wounded individual, as they are loading him into a truck instead of an ambulance.
Duh. They don't seal living people in boxes and carry them over the shoulders. Probably claimed the guy died this morning in a car wreck but had to saran wrap it shut so people don't smell almost a month's worth of decomposition, which is just enough to be noticeable even in Indian street air.

The nature of PAF superiority is that of air combat system, not any individual platform. Purchasing new aircraft might actually exacerbate the problem since that's another aircraft type they need to integrate into the network.

Doesnt this look like one of the screens from the Command center PAF showed after the 7th showdown..?
How does this guy have access to this

Gosh that be scummy tbh, Maybe replenish during the same Raf-M deal so it wont look out of place

There is also question whether another airbattle did happen over indian kashmir, multiple people even from india side reported it or was it false.
That air battle he is referring to in his tweet would be when the S-400 strikes would have taken place I guess

India can’t even build a fourth generation aircraft (Tejas) that is halfway reliable. In no conceivable way will they be able to build a fifth generation aircraft even Dassault and rest of Europe doesn’t have the capability to make an aircraft that matches F-35 or Chinese stealth. No way India can leapfrog ahead in this area

For this I will have to disagree, I shit on Indians a lot but on a purely technical basis, they are actually somewhat competent. On an action basis, well…

Their major problem is with expectations management, feature creep and believing their own BS. And I can’t believe I am actually about to defend the Tejas, but here we are. In the case of the Tejas, the 50 year timeline was feature creep, the delay in production was expectations management and it was all caused by them believing their own BS. But ultimately it is still a relatively competent aircraft for what it is, not for what they believe it to be.

Nowadays stealthiness isn’t really that difficult to achieve at least from structural design point of view, the radar dampening material will be a problem for them along with the engine. However, structure is set, pretty much doing what everyone does, converging on the f22, f35 and j35 structure, the same thing the Koreans and Turks are doing. Not sure what they will do for the materials side and for engines they will probably just do their usual, buying it from somewhere, unless Kaveri finally becomes de-meme-ified. Software side shouldn’t be as big of a problem.

Having said all this, I am not saying it will match US, China, Russia or hell even the Europeans. But having a 5th gen fighter isn’t out of the realm of possibility, reliability aside that is. A flying coffin is still something that flies.
