It was stated in the War in the Ukraine thread that they also had auto targetting.
Yes, they trained the AI model on mockups within Ukraine.

Just in case The Russians had jammers in their bases. Such an operation can only really be done once in a war (unless Russia f**ks up again) so the drones HAD to hit their targets. If they had video feed I don't see why they needed auto targeting even if it is feasible. Human controller can better guide the drones to more critical parts like fuel tanks, AI still can't match that
Hey thanks so much for that. I am feeling a bit down, so your support is much appreciated. I'll message you when I do start a new channel.

With regard to the question of how to secure an extensive border, you gave wrote an answer to your own dilemma a few posts down:Regarding the recent Russian blunder, I'm honestly disappointed by the lack of foresight that some members have shown in this thread, stating that China should take back some territory and "secure the northern borders" while somehow ignoring that if they actually allowed Russia to collapse, China would be screwed for the same reason Russia would be screwed if Ukraine aligned with NATO: Super Duper long borders with plenty of flatlands, especially in the north, which would allow troops to easily storm in (look at Kursk) AND moutains, which impede radar coverage and would allow stealth aircraft and missiles to easily sneak in. These borders would require a ridiculous amount of soldiers and equipment to fully cover, something NATO can afford due to being a big alliance of multiple countries but China can't due to having to also deal with South Korea, philippines, Japan, India, maybe Vietnam and potentially even Australia. NATO, QUAD and others would have the possibility of employing multiple attack vectors for missiles and aircraft from nearly all sides along with being potentially able to ferment unrest in some far-off areas by exploiting holes along those "realistically impossible to secure borders" to smuggle agents, substances and weapons (like, say, ETIM). And did I even mention how it would allow the west and their allies to completely blockade China? Russia should never be allowed to lose and collapse or it will be GG WP for China.
The key is to up the drone game by an order of magnitude from what exists today. Millions of autonomous drones, reconaissance and combat, patrolling the whole border, all linked to large AI datacenters. You got to think big to win big. By the way, China has no friends or allies, just interests. Been that way for 5000 years.Apparently that is what Ukraine did, their drones had auto targetting. Strategic assets are usually easily recognizable and easy to train neural networks on. I don't really think there's any way to fully shield oneself from such an attack. Jamming can be bypassed by using AI or fiber optics. Exclusion zones can be bypassed by using bigger drones with more range. Having tighter security (like using many cameras througuout the country that are linked to a central server with an AI, that could alert the military if too many vehicles of a certain category approach many bases at once), dispersing forces and building light, cheap shelters might help mitigate their damage, but it wont fully protect against them.
How in the seven hells do you service, maintain and operate MILLIONS of drones??? How many bases logistics centers and personnel would you need? and what about something like ballistic missiles? Should you also field millions of interceptors to cover all attack vectors? How do you deal with a full blockade? Also, I know this might sound extreme, but wouldn't a collapse of Russia within a few years allow the west to consider a decisive nuclear war against China before they manage to get a big nuclear arsenal? Their network of alliances might potentially be able to tank a few hundred Chinese nukes while China would definetly get glassed by thousands of NATO nukes plus whatever they get from the remains of Russia. With regard to the question of how to secure an extensive border, you gave wrote an answer to your own dilemma a few posts down:

China is at this very moment planning the servicing, maitenance and operation of millions of drones. It is called the low-altitude economy by another name. Of course it is possible, use your imagination blud. Drones can recharge themselves by flying back to base. Drones can diagnose themselves and any faults could be repaired robotically or they can just fly straight to the recycling centre. Do you honestly believe that in 10 years time none of this would be possible? How in the seven hells do you service, maintain and operate MILLIONS of drones???
