If red blooded Americans don’t rebel because of this, they never will…

Wonder if they will somehow keep strip clubs legal. If so, they want to raise the GDP by making people pay for sexual entertainment. Also, angry men are more prone to support people like Trump and this will increase their numbers for sure if they can enforce it. They don't have to worry about being the cause of that anger because traditionally, Trump supporters are harmed by his policies but never realize it or turn on him.

no, it is not hypocrisy. this is the honest aim of government, the reallocation of privileges from the ruled to the ruler. they're not wrong; you're wrong for believing in the lie they indoctrinated you with from childhood, unwittingly abetted by your parents and the other poor crabs in the bucket around you: that the idea that laws serve you by obstructing evil. laws don't obstruct evil; laws obstruct from you the privileges you and everyone else wishes for in their heart of hearts. conversely, that is why the privileged are above the law.

think of it like a battery. only through the forceful segregation of electrons from their rightful place do you achieve a motive force. society is propelled along by the human battery, as we desperately try to chase after dreams denied us.

its just something to make peace with. the best we can do is to negotiate a social contract where we get rewarded enough for pulling the cart along.

North Chinese are biayue but South Viet has very high SEA blood, they look like Thais or Malays, The fair skinned ones are in the North.
South viets weren't even originally part of Vietnam iirc. Vietnam despite saying how much they hate China, had no problem using it's system/culture and doing what it did in the past to march south and conquer the "barbarians". If France didn't take it over, it might had carved out parts of Thailand too.

Compared to SEA at the time, Vietnam looked like how east Asia.

Reminds me of this gem from Bloomberg, which didn't age well.

The Big Hack: How China Used a Tiny Chip to Infiltrate U.S. Companies

The attack by Chinese spies reached almost 30 U.S. companies, including Amazon and Apple, by compromising America’s technology supply chain, according to extensive interviews with government and corporate sources.

This doesn't bode well for the future of the US regime: the Silicon Valley is no longer a center of innovation. Instead, it's now part of a "China Hawk Industrial Complex", just as China is catching up with it.

Welcome to the China Hawk Industrial Complex

At a bustling conference on Capitol Hill, politicians and tech execs traded tips on how to win a cold war with Beijing.

Because only China can cause existential threat level to Vietnamese culture, US can only cause government threat level. Vietnamese indeed is mainly a group of 百越 people, escape from South China and local people to avoid to sinicize completely and fight for it more than 1000 years, to compare with 30 years to resistance against America is too short. Not the same level at all. Of course our history textbook make very clear about this.
'Baiyue/百越' is a very broad concept, just like the Germani in the eyes of Rome or the Franks in the eyes of Muslims. Can such a vast group be recognized as' the same people '?
It's better not to delve into some things, especially when emphasizing "Vietnam's resistance to Chinese aggression", while recalling under what pretext Vietnam expanded to its surrounding areas.
The populations of Guandong and Guangxi are genetically distinguishable from the rest of Han Chinese though. These were lands belonging to the Baiyue people, a South East Asian group while Han Chinese is a North East Asian group. These lands came under Chinese control during Han dynasty southward expansion.
The genetic differences are not as significant as imagined. And that doesn't mean anything, otherwise a country like Türkiye would not exist.
So you believe that true coexistence between China and Vietnam is impossible and Vietnam needs to actively push China away?
At some point the Vietnamese just needs to let go of past history and just accept the fact that ancient times were brutal: larger empires conquering and subjugating smaller states was just the norm back then. China eventually learned that trading with Vietnam was more profitable than conquering it, and China has not attempted to conquer Vietnam within the last few hundred years and will not attempt to do so in the future.
History is an explanation of the past based on current conditions. We can see many similar cases around the world. And the recent absurd incident on the Taiwan island.
Everything can be defined and changed as long as it is necessary.
The most realistic issue is not only Vietnam's independent status, but also the issue of dominance in the Indochina Peninsula. When France and the Americans are driven away, the next potential geopolitical enemy is obvious. No country's maintenance does not require the presence of 'enemies'.
