After a much too long break without news, finally two new J-20 serial numbers confirmed: J-20 no. 63005 & 63007 both from the 19th Air Brigade based at Zhangjiakou / Ningyuan AP, CTC.

I always thought dumping a spool of thin, high-tensile aluminum wire would be the best emergency weapon after the merge. Could go where the chaff dispenser sits

I think it's the lighting and color profile that make them appear yellow.

really? due to reflection, refraction of the atmosphere?

mostly, bounce lighting from the ground. the ground will generally reflect warm toned lighting. the blue sky can cause both color balance processing and perception to push neutral tones towards yellow as well. lastly, remember the y-20 is painted in black, it's going to make the grey j-20 look comparatively light in tone.
