Just wanted to point out that 3 seats should be counted for the F/A-18.

1 for the Finnish F/A-18C, and 2 for the USN F/A-18F.

So, if indeed 3 Rafales were splashed, then there must be an IAF pilot who was KIA on impact or the seat did not work correctly...

If one of the Rafale was downed by the HQ-9 it's a fair bet that the pilot was killed on impact. PL15's warhead weighs 20 to 25kg, whilst HQ-9's warhead weighs 180kg, almost an order of magnitude larger in yield.

So, do we have visual confirmation of the 2nd or even 3rd Rafale down? What are the possible locations?

Where are all the crashed planes' poilots, dead or alive? Do we have any footage yet?

These info are all secured & contained by Indian authorities, aka cutting off local network?

Funny no one is getting upset over the Su-30 and MiG-29 shot downs, everyone is kind of just "well yeah that happens".
If a Su-30 was shot down in 2019 it would have been kind of a big deal, since it would have been the first A2A loss of a Flanker (and a relatively modern one at that).

But either way, regardless of whether or not a Su-30 was shot down in 2019, its lacking performance against JF-17s and F-16s still exposed its vulnerabilities, which shattered the myth of it being the dominant A2A platform in the subcontinent; Su-35S and Su-30SM getting shot down by Ukrainian S-300s or Buk-M1s probably didn't help to redeem its image, even though not one of those were confirmed lost in A2A combat.

MiG-29s getting trounced in air combat against every other 4th generation fighter (including Su-27/30/35), however, does make it a non-surprise in this instance, and indeed, well yeah that happens.
