It is not 'corruption' so much as incompetence and a more-hostile-than-usual environment. Poor quality hangars expose aircraft to humid air constantly, and technicians are said to occasionally reassemble parts of aircraft, and still have screws left over. Of course, corruption does not help, but I do not think it is the primary culprit.India's corruption is really that bad huh
