I doubt it. It's russian old gen radar compared to aesa in jf-17 and j-10c. Pakistan even has f-16. Moreover, Pakistan has far better missiles with the pl-15, pl-12 and amraam. India's mki only operate Russian poorly made r-77, which is still not a good missile yet and much lower range.

Flanker is a great air platform but only with Chinese manufacturing, avionics and missiles. Russian Flankers are terrible in modern war scenarios

But when you think about, how come Kashmir is so militarized and yet they failed to prevent this attack happening or letting them get away. Either they are incompetent as hell or they let it slide for whatever reason.

My take, this is a US op or a US required op and Kashmir is the perfect pretext. India has never liked the whole China-Pak partnership, not for BRI, with it accusation of surrounding India, or for military, this give India the chance to suck up to the US, cause problems for China right on their border and last but not least a chance for them to get back at Pak.

The US angle, this justifies arms sells especially for F-35, that the Indians have been trying to get for a long time. Disrupts one of China’s key partners and might even draw China into a conflict. Finally, it might break up the BRICS.

India’s angle, it can justify arms imports especially the F-35 and drones from the US and try to get a tech transfer like they always try to do, as well as the whole make in India idea.

On a side note, notice how India, for the longest time have been screaming about China building dams and that it’s a national security issue because water can be cut off, well now we know why, because that is exactly what the Indian would do. It’s pure projection, and frankly should be a war crime.

I learnt that the term "Anti-national" is used a lot in India against anyone who doesn't think Indian is a superpowa.
