There were already x posts saying the AI video was made from India indicated by the metadata/prompt from the video. This is one of the many ways in which India gaslighting and manipulating the focus of the current usa-china trade dispute. After all, India have much higher tariffs on American products and services than China does.

Diminishing returns only apply when there are alternative sources e.g. commodities. For supply chain and manufactured goods that cant be replaced quickly or at all without large capex investment there is a huge difference.

I know for a fact our company's US competitors spend around 20% of their sales price on China sourced BOM, a 60% tariff means their price goes up by 12% or their margins drop by something similar, not end of the world, but at 145% their price need to go up by 30% and/or they need to sell at no profit. If tariff go even higher they will just go out of business.

People are massively discounting how much benifit non American manufacturers, Chinese companies included, can gain from ever higher US tariffs on China

The quality of US journalism on economic affairs is going low and lower. I guess brainwashing has really done some serious damages to the elites themselves.

Nothing is wrong with Apple, while everything is wrong with its enabling operating environment. iOS/Android duopoly is analogous to the Wintel duopoply two decades ago. Even if Steve Jobs was around, I don't think he could have done any better.

Turn around and look at China. Cutthroat competition at private capital level, at provincial level, at city levels. China has had more than 10 viable auto competitors in general and NEV in particular, and the results are seen clearly.

BTW, on this particular subject, I have first-hand experience, more than once. So, yeah, may God bless Apple ...

I mean this place does have PhDs, subject matter experts, industry and government insiders etc. People with inside info that's actually worth something.

Therefore what we see here is just ahead of the curve before the info gets passed down to everyone else.

Now if only we can get some good inside info so we can made profitable trades on stocks etc. if pelosci is allowed to make millions, I didn't see why I'm not allowed to make enough to retire early.

I don’t believe any debate is needed. Simply state. Their hatred of Trump far outweighs their paranoia about China. Remove Trump and it simply reverts back to the usual nonsense. If Trump was friendly then they would have blamed China for everything and vice versa.
