Tresuries getting dumped, US stocks getting dumped, US dollar index also getting dumped. Gold up 4% in 24 hours. Everyone's dumping everything American and either buying gold or exchanging into their own currencies, anything but American assets. The entire system that was the US financial structure just broke.
And funniest part of all, it wasnt even China selling, it's everyone else, China hasnt even used its weapon yet.
I wonder if China could devise some kind of foreign market only 10 year bond (foreign only so as not to antagonize their goals of increasing consumption) that pays like 1.5% that would soak up all the sales of US 10 years currently paying 4.5%. That would signal the end for them if investors are buying debt worth 3.0% less. Maybe include some kind of signalling that the RMB is poised to appreciate once the consumption goals are achieved. I'm pie in the sky day-dreaming but it would be hilarious to see at least.

President Xi will also pay state visits to Malaysia and Cambodia from April 15 to 18, at the invitation of King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim and King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia, the spokesperson said.
