Illustrations of a landing ship design. Not certain where these are from. Several of these can be linked together to form a very long Bailey bridge over sandy terrain.

Here's the real thing. Special barges for amphibious landing. Several of these barges linked together form a continuous Bailey to transport troops, vehicles, and supplies to secured beachheads.
