Russia would glass Germany before letting them have any nukes, and China will do the same to Japan. You cannot allow genocidal countries that remain with same ideology (since they still consider themselves superior to both China and Russia ethnically and culturally) to have a nuke.
With all their superiority and bullshits the americans at least fought against fascism. Yes they were attacked by Japan and whatever but they were (specially under FDR) on the real right side of the history. Then they got taken over by a real world version of Hydra and post SS crazies
I will add that the biggest mistake the US made was to favour Germany (and the baltic chihuahuas) plus Poland over Russia, and Japan over China on the 1991.
Had the US would be exceptionally friendly towards both China and Russia, it could have industrialize itself cheaply and it would remain the top superpower.
But the US was manipulated by europeans like BRezinski into buying their idiocy, and as a consequence choose the wrong friends/vassals.
