I'm not sure if localizing production at this stage will be sustainable, as they either have a cost of labor increase, or a BOM and cost of labor increase if parts are also being localized.

But hey unlike China which doesn't open its mouth unless it needs to, India keeps talking about how its gonna overtake China and act hostile to it etc. Well since you so openly declared yourself an enemy first, China has every right not to support you. They started it first so no regrets.
Indians also think that they can just repeat what China can do without asking why or what period this took place in. If it was that easy North Korea and Cuba would be in far better state than now although they have done well. Oh well results speak for themselves.
If appliances, maybe theyll try to use the supply chain used by General Electric appliances (i think was bought by Haier before?)
