Indeed, she speaks standard mandarin with a tint of Beijing (or northern) tone, her mandarin is better than half of Chinese in China. It is not surprising though, I once (ten years ago) heard a Danish girl speaking pure standard mandarin without any regional tone in Companhagen, I guess she did not live in China long enough to get her tone polluted.
There are probably less than a hundred people in Taiwan who speak better Mandarin than her haha

On the serious side, Taiwan's madarin has deteriorated and will continue deteriorating. Standard Mandarin (aka National Speach in ROC term) was in the process of being standardized in the 1930s and 1940s in ROC era. In the 1950s both PRC in mainland and ROC in Taiwan are speaking the same standard. However in late 1950s PRC made a benchmark for pronunciation by picking a specific village/town north of Beijing and recorded speeches of local residents of all vocabularies. This act not only made a difference between mainland and Taiwan but more importantly set a measurable reference like the SI meter standarded in Paris. All subsequent CCTV and Central Radio anchors are trained against this benchmark, they then act as the reference to the rest of the country. ROC before 1949 did not do it, then it lost the chance forever after 1949, so pronunciation of Mandarin in Taiwan is experiencing natural drifting like today's English sounds very different from 200 years ago, American, Australian and British standards are very distinguishable.

This one points out no gay stuff on Red Note. No, it's more don't politicize it. There's another I think I posted it where in the there's an American who says Chinese gay men are hitting on him. Sweet Baby Inc... yeah they're going to get censored. I like the part @30:30 where the Chinese woman is explaining how some English names mean bad things in China.

What I like about what's happening is only the right people are getting angry on what's going on.

okay, some content so this isn't just a meme post --- I feel like most of the time the "Xi wins doing nothing" meme isn't quite justified; it's more like the steady efforts of the Chinese people and Chinese government are paying off while the US and its vassels careen from one crisis (often self-inflected) to the next.

But this XHS soft power bonanza is truly a "do nothing and win" scenario. It's just astounding how much the TikTok ban has backfired on the American political class and their Israeli-affiliated masters.
How do you deal with a kid who has a big ego and always have an uncontrollable tantrum? YOU DO NOTHING....lol Xi encapsulate how to be an adult and a gentleman, why lower yourself to their standard? this kind of antics exemplify the Western Culture, the need for instant gratification and exceptionalism.
