I read that article. Five and a half years jail time is beyond ridiculous. The UK has actually become a banana republic.
Depends what they did. Sustained campaign of harassment might justify it. Anyway they won't serve that long.
Linda Lu's LinkedIn profile is absolutely wild. Most of the quoted cases are her suing various regulators and former employers.
Rubbish, I live in the UK and I hear of harassment cases like this ALL the time. Usually the police don't seem to have the power to do much. Eventually the council will evict the harassers who are moved to a different council estate. But when Chinese nationals are involved, we are talking more jail time than drunk drivers or manslaugter cases?
A viable domestic replacement for Nvidia AI accelerators maybe? Maybe not 100% comparable with what Nvidia is offering but enough to get by.

5 and a half years for being shitty neighbours is just ridiculous for a non-violent crime. If they were white women, odds are they would have gotten court mandated psychologic treatment instead of jail.
In contrast white men can literally do attempted murder and get zero jail time.
The western judicial system is corrupt. They warn and prosecute with bias. I was on a jury with a case where they purposely allow a perp to conduct multiple incidence over a year so they can use it as a multiple case offence and charge with larger punishment
On /r/hardware, people are still saying 18A is healthy and 10% yield rumors are a lie.... why did their CEO get fired if 18A is healthy and 2-3 quarters away from HVM (based on 0.4 defect rate) ?
Mr. "I bet the entire company on 18A" got fired, but 18A is still Great, trust me bro. The interim co-CEO actually admitted during an investor call that 18A production will be delayed from H1 2025 to H2 2025, presumably that means the the tape-out.
