I guess they'll remain but the charges against him will not be enforced if he comes around, like US handle dealing with active politicians from China they have their own sanctions on.

I mean, just look at the 2nd or 3rd video I linked on my prior post, the PLA soldier who's negotiating with his Indian counterpart (the Indian soldier looked Asian/Tibetan) he appeared to looked more aggressive, dismissive towards the PLA. The PLA soldier's speaking tone was almost too meek (which could be interpreted as weakness) but, he, perhaps was just being cognizant of the orders given and may not want to be as equally condescending to avoid further escalation to the already tense situation.
