" “We need to expand the presence of Asian, African and Latin American countries in the UN Security Council, including the countries whose leaders gathered at the BRICS summit” — Putin"
Why Putin always bring someone that won't truly get along in some kinds of orgies alliance. If he's not stupid then he's tried to antagonize china. Why should china care to bring India for Putin anyways?

So apparently Modi and his buddies got butthurt when they found out the US don't consider them anywhere close to equal and made them know their place in the pecking order. Since many US investments promises never materialized and India isnt the economic supapowah it hoped to be, it's now crawling back to China now.

Frankly speaking I don't really have much reaction to this because it's so damn obvious for anyone here to see since we have repeated it multiple times already.

However China should know India is only coming back because they are FORCED to, not because they want to. Since they see China as a second choice, China should respond by only giving them second-choice deals at best. They didn't want to take the risk joining China first, that's their problem and now they have to face the consequences on hedging incorrectly.

Whoops. Big if true. I bet that's not the real reason though.
It was an mistake letting India in because they are known for playing both sides but honestly so is Turkey. It is a part of NATO and doubtless that it has its own agenda that is not the common prosperity of the global south or our effective defense against Western sanctions. Even in NATO, Turkey blackmailed Finland and Sweden on accession, making them agree to Turkish demands and taking advantage of the unanimous consent to join. Despite being in NATO, Turkey used its membership privileges to further its own interests even when stalling the overall interests of NATO and it will act the same way if it were to join BRICS. It is a huge risk taking in Turkey.

For level of incompetent, Pakistan is even far worse than Iran. Pakistan Iran pipeline has demonstrate that it's Iranian side that finished the projects, while Pakistan doesn't
Well to be fair, wide sanctions without international reach (like the ones US put on Iran) are a nearly entirely negligible impact.

A small economy like Iran does not need direct access to 100% of the world economy to keep growing. What Iran needs to sell to US, it can do through middlemen, but it doesn't even have to necessarily sell much or at all to US to still turn a profit.

Whoops. Big if true. I bet that's not the real reason though.
No lone BRICS member has the ability to do decisions for the other ones. Afaik, major decisions are based on majority principle. Members can only opt out of participation but not decide for others.

In this case, Turkey is as a country one of the most evil in the modern world, has a history of betrayal and crime. India will/is not be the only nation rejecting their ascension, for a good reason.
