China's Huawei Unveils Triple-folding Phone

Chinese tech giant Huawei on Tuesday unveiled its new smartphone, billed as the world's first trifold phone, just hours after US competitor Apple lifted the curtain on its new iPhone built for AI.
The Mate XT was officially launched in a keynote presentation by Huawei executive Richard Yu at the firm's headquarters in the southern city of Shenzhen.
Originally designed as a premium phone for a niche audience, over three million people registered interest in buying the Mate XT ahead of its launch.
Advertised in a sleek red and gold design, the phone officially goes on sale on September 20.
"Huawei has always been a leader in the foldable phone industry," Yu said at the keynote.
"This is the world's first triple-folding phone," he said.
"We have put in a huge amount of effort into solving the problems regarding mass production and product reliability," he added.
Its release comes a day after Huawei competitor Apple announced its iPhone 16, built for generative artificial intelligence as it seeks to boost sales and keep up in the technology race.
Why would Barron's publish this story? It is not like your average Barron's reader will rush out to buy this Huawei phone.

Yes. Unfortunately Thailand does have a new problem with Indian tourism. They have started to literally take over Pattaya and Phuket. No Anglo media is gonna report it because Indians are apparently the "good guys". The Western tourists are avoiding these places to go to the last havens like Koh Samui. This Western vlogger is one of the few guys talking about the transformation of Pattaya.
To be fair, a number of Chinese bad apples have done these unpleasant things too to some SEA tourism sites. And the Anglo media have made sure to call them out. The Chinese government did not deny them and cracked down on the nonsense. Since then, things have mellowed down. Still, as bad as Chinese tourists can be, they can't match the sexual depravity and unhinged mindset of the Jai Hind male tourists. I have a feeling that these guys are a menace in the places they take over. For the Indians, I don't think there is any chance of their government moderating the nonsense. The Anglos are gonna call the Indians out when the last beaches in Thailand finally falls to them. Then we shall see how that Anglo-Indian bromance goes from there.
