I don't know why Trump selected as VP as man that is less charismatic than watching paint dry.
I mean you know a person is uncharismatic when you would rather prefer to be torture by being forced to hear a Kamala Harris speech in repeat for a day than hearing this Trump's VP pick for an hour.

Did you not consider the timing of the announcement? Right after the assassination attempt?

Basically Trump has a slam dunk for the election, so there is zero pressure on his choice of running mate from a votes POV, so the primary considering seems to be to choose someone no one would want running the country if anything happens to Trump. To give himself extra protection against further assassination attempts.

In Trump’s mind, if he picked anyone who could feasibly do even a non-terrible job of being POTUS, then that’s like him sticking a big ‘shoot me’ sign on his forehead.

6 people died by cyanide poisoning in a luxury hotel in Bangkok. The victims were 4 Vietnamese, and 2 Americans of Vietnamese decent.

This case appears to be murder-suicide, with the murder suspect being among the dead. There was an apparent dispute over investments prior to the murders. I think this news is gonna be a hot discussion in Vietnam. The US government appears interested in this case, so who knows what had happened.

At least four Indian soldiers were killed in a gun battle with rebels fighting against Indian rule in Indian-administered Kashmir, the latest in a series of deadly attacks.
