Something is seriously wrong here. Then again given how crazy these people have become and how their collective talents are the literal equivalent of a celery, I don’t think it is possible to be surprised anymore. Still, the fact that a sitting president can only articulate such things rather then doing something on thing about it, speaks volumes

From what I saw none of the topics brought up in the debate were about China. China was brought up when the topic was derailed by both candidates. One time Biden apparently wanted to paint Trump as a hypocrite because he said he didn't raise taxes on Americans. I don't know if Biden couldn't keep his thoughts straight but it sounded like he was bringing up Trump's tariffs on China as a tax on Americans. And Biden kept Trump's tariffs and increased them... Yeah Trump is a liar that he didn't increase American's taxes but then Biden kept and increased Trump's tariffs on China wasn't about taxing only the rich like he claimed he was doing.

You're correct. I got that information when it was announced there was a cheese shortage when the Patriots were going to the Super Bowl.
What I would like to do is rant briefly about the political situation, because it is all happening at once, the PRC is seeing everything put in motion.
1. PLAN and PLAAF have Taiwan surrounded, and China Coast Guard taking care of the hapless Philippines Navy, daring the US Navy to get involved.
2. Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin reaffirm and promise to further develop Russia-China ties. Which of course could potential help that war. Something that the Americans were complaining about.
3. After Uncle Vald visits his, he goes to see his most favourite Korean family.
4. This in turn, with those agreements made, means the Kim dynasty will be more like belligerent. Should be fun to watch.
5. The China-Russia-Iran partnership, along with the Saudi-Iran-China detant and significant upswing in relations there, all that is no good for Israel.
The United States have not been pressed like this, not in any time I can remember.
Russia proxy war with NATO with China having its back. Russia backs Kim who will take it out on the Koreans and Japanese. China has Taiwan surrounded and ramming boats in the SCS. Blah blah blah, you get the picture. All US allies are under stress. That means the US is under stress.
Then we add in the economic conditions, where China is growing at least 2x twice as fast as the United States, the tech war and trade war, then the latest panic attack over Chinese EV cars, even in these non-military realms the Chinese are pressing the Americans.
Let's not kid ourselves, this is all happening, this is all happening right now, all at once.
Why now?
The Americans are going into election mode. This is the time to do it.
A couple years from now, we can really see how American position will be weakened during this time that started now.
The Americans have boneheads in the government. They are not strategic geniuses.
Maybe this is gray zone warfare by China against America across the globe? Who knows, eh?
