The others did not need to maximize usable deck space? Why not just make the ship longer to begin with?

Nothing to do with deck space. Wasp etc. all have pretty square shape deck also.
I think he meant the vertical side corners where the others have a more angular and tapered profile towards the hull.
On the 075 the corners themselves are almost also 90⁰ which makes it look very boxy and unattractive.
But it would appear that 076 has rectified that to be more angled like the Wasps.
same reason as making it not so rectangular, I mean there is no reason for doing either way. It is the same thing as why some military uniforms are open collar, others are standing collar.

Where can you see that pre-made part being installed when on the image takes later it wasn‘t installed yet?
