Seems serious if true. Xi better have gotten major concessions from Putin since this is going to destroy China's relations with Europe.

I think you meant EU when saying "Europe".

EU has been destroying relationship with China long before the Ukraine-Russian conflict. So relationship with EU has less and less meaning in the consideration of Chinese leadership. It's hopeless anyway.

On the other hand China is more and more treating EU countries individually while ignoring EU as a whole. That is why the head of EU has to force her way in the meeting of Xi's state visit to France to make EU relevant to China. This act of desperately seeking recognition means that EU has to suck up whatever China dumps.

I don't understand the logic in this tweet. Why would a break up of USSR/Russia be a bad thing for the US? If anything, I see it as a benefit: instead of a unified Russia fighting the US, it would be a fragmented, weakened Russia fighting itself. Just look at middleast today.. compared to a unified middleast (i.e. under the Ottomans) that terrified the Europeans for centuries.

Collapse of USSR is a tragedy for US. There is now only infighting in US.

What the fuck does the British know these days? Not saying it’s not possible, but if someone is going to get the scoop on something this major, it would be the Americans, not their lamed lapdog the British.

I see China holding back lethal aid support to Russia primarily because the Russians don’t need it since they are winning as things stand.

Also, I think China is saving that play as a counter to possible EU going all in with the Americans. If it came down to it, China will show its cards and tell the EU in no uncertain terms that choosing that path will have immediate and overwhelmingly unbearable consequences beyond merely the economic.

In the generational scale of time, I think the Russians are going eastward. Unless the world get serious on climate change. Then 2/3 of Russians lands covered by permafrost will eventually become a land of rich opportunities and the primary economic growth driver. If Siberia is destined to melt. It would be rather unwise to contribute anything that could deteriorate relations with Russia. Totally opposite. Without the collapse of the USSR the U.S. would have collapsed instead.

US financial system was nearly broken when the USSR collapsed, they saved it with the massive export of capital resulting of the privatisation of Soviet Union enterprises as well as the basic pillaging of its natural resources.

Also they proceed to destroy Iraq to inflict fear in every country and make capitals flee to the U.S.. Something they would have not dare to do without the fall of the Soviet Union.

If you check the usage of dollar for example it was dropping accelerated before the fall of the USSR and then it recovered a lot.

The irony of the fall of the USSR is that if they would have been more clever today they would have been the undisputed first power in the world.

I am saying there is very power full ideological and economic force behind Russia that make it stand up to West. and it is not simply Russia survived sanction so any one else will be in the same boat if face the same opposition. These people sophisticated that same information is presented in different way in many outlets to convey some thing different basically owned by same entity. The same people that on one side want to enter BRICS but on another side want to do defense/free trade with US/Korea. thats the reason it so interesting to follow them.
