The controversial video appeared to show Shah pledging to end all benefits provided to several groups in India identified in the Constitution as the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and other backward classes (OBC). The benefits, known as ‘reservations’ facilitate access of these communities to government jobs, education, and even legislature.

Does that video look fake? Is it a mistranslation? I'm not the expert in Hindi. Hopefully someone who understands Hindi can give an opinion about this. But to me, the video does not appear to be a deep fake.

Btw, in the place of the destroyed Embassy is now built one of the largest Chinese cultural centers in Europe, expecting Xi to inaugurate it with Vucic officially during the visit (beginning of the video).

This is also important for the process of the current FTA implementation after it was being signed last year. I expect Xi to expedite it all from the Chinese side.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said talks between India and China are going smoothly and in a good environment, and India will never bow down.

Never bow down to China? You've already handed what China demanded of Aksai Chin in 2020. Zang Nan is more tricky, but its gonna be eventually reunited with Xizang.

I agree, there is very little to cut back from without bad long term costs. (maybe B&R projects?) The only major one I can see is the military, and not even I would be stupid enough to cut back on military spending in this geopolitical environment.

Personally, I don't think it is fake. One point is that AI isn't really good with faking hand movements. And his inflection is consistent with his hand movement. But so many people attended that event and not even one person was recording? Honestly, with such low quality, it could potentially be faked. But I wouldn't put it beyond the BJP to lie that it was AI it because his words were pretty damaging to India both internationally and domestically.

Can anyone find a higher quality recording that doesn't look like a potato?
