If im not mistaken Gandhi has pretty much killed off a Chinese like liberation movement in India. From what i know there was certainly a more violent liberation movement going on organised by Indian ww1 veterans. No country gets liberated without shedding and spilling blood and extensive land reforms. Because if you let western nations/companies keep their mining/mineral rights are you really liberated or did you only get a flag and anthem out of it.

Well he did wanted to implement a federal system where the provinces had more control in their own affairs. He does makes a good point under the current system the Philippines is stagnating compared to their other partners in ASEAN.
