A friendly reminder. It's a funny comment but you are off the track to get Gordon's job.

What’s wrong with what I wrote? Did I diss the innovativeness of the almighty private firms anywhere? All I did was praise the vitality of Western CEOs. Can you imagine Ren Zhenfei getting it on with a mistress half the age of his daughter without dying from a heart attack? I don’t think so. To be fair Liu Qiangdong is better in that regard but by his own admission to the Minnesota police department he lasted less than two minutes before he blew his load. As many a Chinese liberal said — China has a long way to go, literally.

EU is free flow of labor and goods so i doubt accurate measure of GDP for a country like Germany. In this road freight Germany is using non German hauliers from East. Japan does not have this opportunity. The worse German demographics the more human capital it will extract from East and South.

Germany overtook Japan because of weak yen. Neither is doing well.

Germany to Pass Japan as Third-Largest Economy, Helped by Weak Yen

  • Yen sliding to 160 per euro; near three-decade low to dollar
  • IMF also sees Germany’s GDP remaining larger in dollar terms

Xi is about to meet Newsom.

I recall GlobalTimes a few days ago hinted that meeting with Newsom was familiarizing Chinese leaders with the future US presidents, looks very likely. Also maybe BYD might build an consumer EV factory in California?
Unfortunately, Newsom has dyslexia, a major problem for his presidential run. But he is still 10x better than Biden probably.

Why not add another one - A fourth one right down south of the border with the cartels? Let's see how quickly the US wants to dismantle itself.

This is in diametric opposition with China. It seems all US can do is destruction nowadays.

The chutzpah of the Zionists is unparalleled. Notice how they never considered not ethnic cleansing the Palestinians?
Reminder that this is the guy who wanted america to steal aspects of China so it would be a better servant for Israel.
It's probably a wet dream for some Jews to deport all the inhabitants in Gaza and occupy it completely.

This article is a textbook example of how to build up a narrative and gaslight your readers with cheery-picked "facts". There is no need to read the article. It's a waste of your time just like any other copium article. Just go through Glenn's thread and you will understand.

China’s Age of Malaise

Party officials are vanishing, young workers are “lying flat,” and entrepreneurs are fleeing the country. What does China’s inner turmoil mean for the world?

Erdogan is calling out Israel and expressing that Turkey does not owe anything to her except the west.

Turkey certainly has benefited from its Israel. in absence of that there could be much broader sanctions and Turkey relationship with post world war Germany not the same. what if there was no Western Industrial revolution that how would Turkey dealt with Arabs. so indirectly Turkey still owe Israel. even today Erdogan is still calling Zelensky for support but Zelensky too terrified of Israel for calling ceasefire.

Turkey has been an official candidate for EU membership since 1999. In 2005, accession negotiations were launched. Negotiations, however, have been protracted and are expected to last at least another 10 to 15 years; at the same time membership is far from guaranteed. While the country’s membership bid constitutes possibly the most divisive application in the EU’s history, one of the most ardent supporters for Turkey’s membership has been the United States. The U.S. has persistently and publicly advocated for Turkey’s EU membership. This book depicts the evolution of American arguments across different time periods. It seeks to explain what the administrations’ official rhetoric reveals about the reasons and the content of U.S. arguments in favor of Turkey’s EU bid
