Speaker of the House Anthony Rota apologized Sunday for honouring a man who fought in a Nazi unit during the Second World War.

Rota was responding to condemnation from Jewish groups and others stemming from a moment during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Parliament on Friday. During the visit, Rota said the man was "a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we thank him for all his service."

Typical of POLITICIANS IN THE WEST and all Western leaning countries action, if caught, JUST APOLOGIZE and all will be forgiven. LOL

I can understand why the Ukrainians would consider him a hero, but how exactly is he a Canadian hero? Do they know what side that Nazis were on in WW2?

It reminds me of that South Korean guy who went to fight in Ukraine to repay them for Ukrainian actions in the Korean war....

If the Canadian government weren't so incompetent I'd think that it is a ploy for Canada to justify ending aid to Ukraine.
