One of my close friends, a researcher at my university's medical school, recently made a major discovery regarding baldness. I'm no expert, but my understanding is that she essentially discovered the root cause of the condition. She decided to not publish the results because "it would disproportionately benefit western men, and based on what I've seen during the pandemic, this generation of western men don't deserve it."
