China really is the Protagonist of humanity, something the narcissist westerners wish they were, and that they wished ppl believed the world was 3000 years old.
Aussies are now being taxed heavily to pay for those $400bln submarines. This is “let them eat cake” territory the anglos are heading towards.
The recent opinion piece published in the paper of supposed integrity, the new York times, firmly established what I wrote on the post above which is essentially dictating to China in no uncertain terms that China either submit to American demands that to not compete on high technology or else. And yet, some people on this forum and elsewhere that people like myself and many others are being too dramatic or emotional about this issue can take a f..ng hike both figuratively and literally.
The chip and trade war is a metaphor.
To America and the west, it represents preserving their undisputed power and monopoly over the technology of modernity. Since they are a Judeo Christian Manichaean values society, they cannot tolerate an equal or superior society.
For China, it was inevitable that the potential of 1.4bln chinese of the oldest living civilisation was going to translate into innovation and tech advancement.
The anglos cannot abide by this, so their only recourse is a racial holy war to reaffirm their notion of white supremacy.
The US can say this, however they have limits to their power which is why several years into the trade/technology war they're stepping back to 'derisking' instead of decoupling.
Regarding US vassals in Asia, for every lever they have against China, China has several in response, for example see SK's exports, and the AU trade freeze. While you can expect VN, Japan and SK to be at least reasonably rational, in the chance that they all (all includes the irrational like PH) decide to sacrifice themselves simultaneously, China has the depth to outlast them especially with Russia now linked so closely. SK also has NK to worry about, so the expectation is that any help will be passive, e.g. I'll let you station some hardware on my soil. Then NK might do something distracting in response.
India is naturally countered by Pakistan, and at any hint of attitude can find themselves with a terrorist problem, or a 2 front confrontation.
It's good to consider worst case scenarios, however for the type of catastrophic result mentioned the vassal states would have to be highly competent and just as suicidal.

The arrival of the 14,300 metric ton "Peace Ark" - the first time a Chinese navy vessel has visited Kiribati - marks a step up in Chinese soft power in the Pacific Island state that switched its diplomatic allegiance from Taiwan to China in 2019.
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday (July 14) passed a defense spending bill that includes strengthened military coordination between the U.S. and Taiwan, military cybersecurity cooperation with Taiwan, and solving the problem of delays in the delivery of arms to Taiwan.
On Wednesday (July 12), the House began debate on the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that comprises US$876.8 billion in spending for the Department of Defense. After three days of deliberation, the House narrowly passed the bill on Friday with a narrow margin of 219 votes in favor and 210 against.
Due to the deliberation process, it is uncertain which provisions have been passed, amended, or rejected. However, according to the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, this bill includes certain provisions directly derived from the 10 policy recommendations issued by Mike Gallagher, the chair of the committee.
According to a CNA report, the adopted recommendations include strengthening U.S. military coordination with Taiwan in the form of exercises, formulating joint operational concepts, and tactics, technology, procedures, and other security measures to assist Taiwan's self-defense needs. They call for instructing the U.S. secretary of defense and the secretary of state to submit a report assessing Taiwan's defense equipment, services, and training requirements to address the backlog of arms sales to Taiwan.
The provision of asymmetric defense capabilities to Taiwan is to be accelerated. Military cybersecurity cooperation between the U.S. and Taiwan is to be strengthened.
A proposal by Representative Tom Tiffany to bar the Pentagon from spending money to produce, purchase or display any maps that improperly designate Taiwan's main island or its outer islands as Chinese territory also passed.
After passing the House of Representatives, the Senate is also expected to consider its version of the defense authorization bill next week.

A holy war that will prove to be there undoing. Chinas development is unstoppable and in the end, Chinas technological prowess will not only become independent of the west but will greatly exceed the west so much that catching up will be rendered impossible for consideration but if anyone has read up on the crusades done by the west against the Middle East, they ended up losing without actually gaining anything of note (heck even Richard the lion heart for all of his power didn’t manage to amount to anything in the end) so if the USA want to engage in some holy crusade against China then in consideration that I am no prophet of any kind but I have had lots of dream about this, the USA tries to fight China but at every turn, they end up confounded and at the end of this conflict, both China and Russia would bring the west to its knees, all nations under Anglo control ends up being under the dominion of China and the west will forever lose its greatness never to rise again. Obviously such dreams I don’t find easy to believe but considering how an increasing number of people are receiving visions of China invading the USA, I really do wonder but one thing to be certain, the USA isn’t committing all these actions as a strong power but as a nation that is rapidly losing the plot and is too scared to admit that neither China or Russia can be bullied like in The past and that every action has consequences especially for the dollar that they worship so much but is essentially back up by nothing but cheap bullshit at best
A responsible power should be absolutely afraid of this because by not wasting their hypersonic missiles now means that at a later time when these American territories are under going civil unrest and the USA is sufficiently degraded to the point where their defences no longer function Well enough, it will take less hypersonic missiles in the correct locations to bring those nations to its knees whilst having enough hypersonic missiles to essentially glass those nations in the event they need more boom. The invincibility of NATO is only convincing when the buff isn’t called yet but when it does at time of either Chinas or Russias choosing, NATO will collapse over night. NATO as a force had eight years of prep time against Russia in Ukraine and now Zelensky has been told to f@ck off in the Vilnius summit just recently for failing in yet another counteroffensive that failed to breach even the first Russia. defence line when they were expected no matter how stupid it sounds to punch all the way to Crimea while the USA is trying so hard to get someone else to send Ukraine f16 so that they can push the risk to someone else (I mean no super power should be attempting to pawn responsibility to someone else like a drunk pussy). so really, is NATO really that strong right now cause if they launch a nuke first, the will die in the counter attack but if they don’t, they will eventually demilitarise themselves and any future fight against China would simply be a joke because common, wars cost money and the USA right now is rapidly running out of money and they have to yet again raise the debt ceiling to infinity while China and Russia are working to make sure that the dollar will no longer be acceptable for purchasing resources which will definitely make it almost impossible for the USA to fund another war Like they did in the past
