Severed finger mailed to Macron’s residence – media
A severed finger has been mailed to French President Emmanuel Macron’s official residence, newspaper Valeurs actuelles reported on Wednesday, citing a security source.
The disturbing package was received by the correspondence department of the Elysee Palace between July 9 and July 10, the source said, adding that the human appendage was recovered by police. The package allegedly arrived ahead of Bastille Day, France’s national holiday that is celebrated on July 14.
According to the report, the person who mailed the finger had been identified. “This immediately triggered the appropriate procedures for the cases involving distress, so the individual in question could be handled by competent services and undergo a medical evaluation,” the source said.
Macron’s office declined to comment on the matter, according to Valeurs actuelles.
The Muslim factor would deter European countries from allowing Turkey to join the EU. Their respective believe there is far too many Muslim refugees in their countries and with Turkey gaining admittance to the EU will increase the number.Well it could end with Russia just stopping building their reactor ? Why on earth Russia would continue ? Erdogan will need a lot of leverage to be able to keep Turkey out of trouble economically and i'm not sure that the EU is in any shape to save him. Accession of Turkey to the European Union could be the final nail in their coffin.
Its time to partyThere is no depiction of the South China sea or the nine dash line in the Barbie movie at all, these people are just mentally ill. If these media have any integrity whatsoever, they would show people the map in question. But obviously they wouldn't, since that would expose their target audience as mentally ill.

Gen. Brown says Washington needs to improve logistics capability in the region
WASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden's pick to head the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff has said the military under his watch would seek more operational sites in the Indo-Pacific region and work to strengthen Taiwan's self-defense capabilities.
The nominee, Gen. Charles Brown, answered questions during a confirmation hearing held Tuesday by the Senate Armed Services Committee. As chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Brown would serve as the country's highest-ranking officer and one of Biden's top advisers.
If confirmed, Brown would be the of the Joint Chiefs after Gen. Colin Powell, the late officer and statesman who stepped down nearly three decades ago. The current chairman, Gen. Mark Milley, is due to retire in September.
"I'm mindful of the security challenges at this consequential time and the need to accelerate to stay ahead of the growing threat," Brown told the senators, with an eye on China. "The Department of Defense must implement the national defense strategy and prepare a joint force that can win the next war, if called upon."
For the Indo-Pacific, Brown discussed how it takes time to move military resources across the "massive" distances in the region.
"You cannot wait till the crisis occurs to be able to deploy capability," he said. "You have to preposition capability and have that in place. You have to work with allies and partners to have access to locations."

Brown served as commander of the Pacific Air Forces from 2018 to 2020 before becoming the chief of staff of the Air Force. To respond to crises in the Indo-Pacific, he has advocated transitioning the air forces from large bases to smaller sites spread across the region.
