The local Jilin Province Government decided to fund the development of a remote sensing satellite project called Jilin-1 which consists of 4 satellites:
1 main optical satellite (420 kg)
1 secondary satellite (65 kg) to experiment agile imaging
2 secondary satellites (95 kg) to experiment agile video

Jilin-1 will be launched this year. Moreover, Jilin Province has a ambitious program:
2016: Put 12 new satellites in orbit to form a constellation that can capture images anywhere in the world over a period of 3 to 4 hours
2020: Having 60 satellites in orbit, refresh rate every 30 minutes on any point on the globe
2030: Having 138 satellites in orbit, refresh rate every 10 minutes on any point on the globe
2016: Put 12 new satellites in orbit to form a constellation that can capture images anywhere in the world over a period of 3 to 4 hours
2020: Having 60 satellites in orbit, refresh rate every 30 minutes on any point on the globe
