Apple provides minimal value-add to the Chinese economy. If they are not willing to dramatically increase the volume and value share of its Chinese components, they will be eliminated
This isn’t true at all. Without Apple (or even lazier companies like HP that even outsourced design), China would not have been be able to create the production capacity at the scale and quality that it has. There’s no other country with so much machinery, operators, technicians, engineers, etc. BYD started out primarily making batteries for iPhones.
I suggest nuking Disneyland in Shanghai. I visited last week, okay fun, there is a lot of American propaganda there, and American branding that will not be missed.
American companies are good competition, don’t be afraid of the competition like American politicians. Shanghai Disneyland is like the entirety of everything the US propaganda accuses China of being afraid of actually thriving in China, Winnie the Pooh ride especially.
