If the new banknote is worth $11 and is 5 times the value of the previous highest value note, that means the most valuable note in circulation is worth little over $2. This means a fair percentage (too lazy to look it up and do the math) of Argentine banknotes in circulation are probably worth less than the cost of printing them, making them literally not worth the paper they are printed on, even with Chinese prices.
