The difference is they didn’t try to kill him not once, but twice the second time around.
I think it is all a show among most of the upper government. Everyone is likely very friendly to each other once the camera is off. There might be few outliers like rand paul or the guy not taking any aipac money or maybe one of the muslim ladies. The minons operate on their own initiative to try to look for fame and power.

It is dumb because it makes the people he pardoned look really guilty. And what’s there to stop Trump from overturning the pardons?
If Trump finds himself in a pickle and needs to boost his popularity he can simply unpardon the people on the list and take them to court.
If they were going to 'break democratic norms' or whatever, should have used that free pass to go after Trump back in 2021 and make sure he would never run for President again.
Now people are really going to remember Biden as the Biden Crime Family.
